Our mission is two fold:

1. To bring together people of a similar mindset from all over the country
2. To help people experience different nights out in different cities with as little hassle as possible

The idea for FlashMosh was conceived around the table of a pub by a group of friends who all go to the same rock nightclub in Birmingham visiting another rock nightclub in Nottingham. Having spoken before the visit to some of the regulars and website forum users of the Nottingham nightclub we were able to meet up with them and have a bit of a cultural exchange of sorts, subsequently the same people and some of their friends then decided to do the same as us and visit Birminghams rock nightclub, staying with friends they made from Birmingham or in hotels.

It occured to us that since everyone had a great time doing this that we would try it again, but this time in Leeds... and then the idea grew.

There are one or two rock nightclub listing websites out there on the internet, but most are only a guide as to what exists and how to get to it. What we wanted to do was to create an ever expanding community of people of the same mindset and drive to experience new nights out and meet new people.

Imagine this; a group of friends from Birmingham go to Nottingham to its biggest rock club and meet up with some of the locals and get on like a house on fire, the locals then come to Birmingham to visit its biggest rock club and have a great time.

Then both the Nottingham and Birmingham residents all go to Leeds to its biggest rock club for a great night out, meeting more new people, the Leeds residents then go to Birmingham and Nottingham to try out their clubs, then together the people from Nottingham, Birmingham and Leeds go to Liverpool and meet more new people, then... well you get the picture.

This is our mission and to achieve it we have created this website to help it become a reality. We will research into the different nightclubs out there, the best way to get to them and the best places to stay overnight. The forums will allow people from the different clubs to communicate and to arrange visits, the galleries will provide people with the means to fill in the hazy memories of the nights gone by and the friendly people they have met.

And don't worry all you rock nightclub owners/organisers out there, you may lose a small portion of your patrons for one night, but you will gain a whole lot more when a FlashMosh turns up at your doorstep consisting of people from all over the country. Word of mouth is the best advertising there is.
